“I create film because it’s the medium of art that spills from my naked soul. Raw and undiluted, I approach writing & directing as a calling, not a job. I conceive and craft images with a flair for narrative, fashion and melancholia. You will see a signature in each of my works, and in seeing this; you will see me.”
About
I’m a writer-director from Bradford, and it all started with a secondhand camcorder a neighbour gave me. At 25 I wrote to film schools until the Northern Film School in Leeds gave me a place, and I spent four years there learning my craft.
My short film By Any Other Name has won 30 awards, including Best Screenplay at Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival, and played BAFTA and BIFA qualifying festivals. I work in genre, and I’m drawn to thrillers, psychological stories and the supernatural, told with suspense, strong visuals and real emotional weight.
